Since 1998, MEDASSET has been working to raise awareness about marine litter by educating the public – especially school children – about the importance of clean seas in protecting marine life. The organisation has also been encouraging leaders to implement groundbreaking policies that will tackle this problem and has been participating in the policy-making processes that advocate for pristine seas.
In the summer of 2015, MEDASSET launched the “Clean Seas: Swear to Care” campaign which aims to encourage visitors of the Greek beaches to protect marine life with the simple yet powerful act of making a promise.
